Invention of Photography
When the camera was invented, most artists were amazed at the fact that there was now a way to document reality and real life things. Impressionist artists though, thought the idea of having something document reality as something cool and an addition to the new technology but they wanted to continue to paint their impressionist artwork because the camera could capture moving light and their paintings could. Artists were influenced by the invention of the camera because it gave them a cropped composition. It showed the tone effects of light and dark in finer detail; therefore making it easier for artists to capture the tone in their compositions.
